Step by step information is given here to create Freecharge UPI ID. By following which you can create Freecharge UPI ID.
#1. First of all, install Freecharge App on your phone.
#2. You have to create an account here with your mobile number. I would advise to give the mobile number only with which your bank account is linked.
#3. After this click on the profile icon from where the Settings menu will open. And after that you have to click on “Bhim UPI Setting”.
#4. Here you have to add your bank account by going to UPI Linked Bank Accounts, which is verified through OTP.
#5. After adding a bank account, your Freecharge UPI ID is automatically generated.
You need to get Freecharge KYC done in the Freecharge wallet or to increase your transaction limit.

What is Freecharge KYC? (How To Create Free Charge UPI Id?)
As per RBI guidelines, two types of wallets can be issued and both have different limits.
There are two types of wallets Minimum KYC Wallet and Full KYC Wallet. Your current wallet is a Minimum KYC Wallet.
In Minimum KYC, you submit the identification number of selected documents. In full KYC, you need to submit a proof of identity and a copy of the proof of address along with in-person verification.
As per RBI guidelines, the wallet service offered with minimum KYC is valid for 18 months only.
As per RBI’s PPI guidelines, the minimum KYC wallet is valid for 24 months from the date of issue.
If you had signed up on Freecharge before 1st March 2018, the validity of your Freecharge wallet will expire on 31st August 2019.
Otherwise, your wallet will be valid for 18 months from the date of submission of minimum KYC details. (You can check the expiry date on the app).
After expiration, you will no longer be able to load money into your FreeCharge Wallet. To continue using FreeCharge Wallet, you need to complete KYC and convert it to Full KYC Wallet.
However, this will not affect your FreeCharge account. You can continue to use other payment options like UPI, Debit or Credit cards and NetBanking, etc at FreeCharge and merchants that accept FreeCharge.
I want to use FreeCharge Wallet. How can I complete KYC?
FreeCharge is providing full KYC in two ways:
Some users who are full KYC at Axis Bank will have the option to mark them as full KYC by simply entering their PAN card details and validating it with an OTP.
Others will have to generate a reference number on their FreeCharge mobile app and visit the nearest Axis Bank branch with all the required documents to complete the full KYC.
